Reserve Account Management

The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston monitors reserve accounts of First District depository institutions to ensure compliance with reserve and clearing balance requirements.

Through ongoing monitoring, account management analysts at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston review First District depository institution account management practices, provide guidance to staff of depository institutions as needed, and assess monetary penalties in accordance with Federal Reserve System policies when necessary.

To help depository institution personnel increase their awareness and understanding of account management requirements, the account management analysts have developed a seminar on account management topics for First District depository institutions (see link below).
